Getting started
What kinds of businesses do you work with?
Any business, in any sector and of any size. Examples of what we build for include field services, real estate, clinics, retail and e-commerce, professional services, hospitality and B2B teams. The common thread is a team whose work should get easier with the right software.
How do we start?
Request a free written workflow review on the contact page. Within 2 business days we reply by email with a one-page written summary: where time is lost today, up to three places software could help, and a suggested first step. If it’s a fit, the next step is a written proposal, which may be a scoped pilot with no payment up front. The scope is agreed in writing before any work begins.
Is the workflow review free?
Yes. The written workflow review and an initial view of how we would approach the problem are free and come with no obligation.
Do you work with businesses outside the US?
Yes. We work remotely with clients anywhere, in English and by email. Write to us and we will tell you honestly how we would handle time zones and language for your project.
Pricing & contracts
How much does a project cost?
It depends on scope. A focused website or a single integration is a very different job from a full operations system. After discovery, we give you a written estimate broken down by phase, with what is included and what drives the cost. We do not publish fixed prices because we would rather quote what you actually need.
Fixed price or hourly?
For clearly defined projects we usually offer a fixed or capped price per phase. For ongoing development we agree a monthly allocation. Either way, changes to scope are written down and agreed before they affect cost.
Who owns the code and data?
You do. On full payment, the code we write specifically for you, your data and your accounts belong to you. Where we use our own reusable components or third-party services, we explain the licence and costs clearly before you commit.
Are there ongoing costs after launch?
Usually some: hosting, third-party services such as email or AI APIs, and optionally a care plan. We estimate these upfront so you see the full cost of running the software, not just building it.
Projects & process
How long does a project take?
Small websites and integrations can take a few weeks; larger systems are planned in phases over a few months. We confirm timings in the written plan once the scope is clear, and we deliver a useful first release as early as possible.
How involved do we need to be?
Short, regular reviews by email: a written questionnaire at the start, a review of the clickable designs and of each build cycle, and help with testing before launch. Everything is handled in writing, with clear updates in between.
Can we talk on a call?
We work in writing, by email, so every question, decision and change is clear and on record for both sides. When something is easier to show than to describe, we send a short recorded walkthrough instead.
Can you take over software someone else built?
Yes. We start with a review of the code, hosting and documentation, then propose a stabilisation plan before taking on new features. We will be honest if a rebuild is the better option.
Can you work with our existing tools?
Very often, yes. We integrate with common CRMs, accounting software, calendars, payment providers and email platforms. Where no ready connector exists, we can build one against the tool’s API.
AI, security & support
Will an AI assistant say things we have not approved?
We design assistants to answer from content you approve, to say when they do not know, and to hand over to a person for anything sensitive. Before launch we test them against real questions and review the answers with you. AI can still make mistakes, so we set clear limits on what it is allowed to do.
How do you handle security and privacy?
We use encrypted connections, least-privilege access, maintained dependencies and backups as standard, and we collect only the data a feature needs. Industry-specific requirements, for example in healthcare, are reviewed during scoping so the right safeguards are planned from the start.
What happens if something breaks after launch?
Every launch includes a support window. After that, a care or ongoing development plan gives you agreed response priorities and direct email access to us, since we built your software. Monitoring, backups and the quarterly priority review are included only in the care & maintenance plan.
Do you build mobile apps?
We build web apps that work beautifully on phones and can be installed to the home screen. For most businesses this covers the need at a lower cost. If you need a native app-store app, we will cover it in the written proposal.
